The American Association of Dental Examiners (AADE) was founded in 1882. It is comprised of state and regional dental boards, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, Specialty Dental Boards, as well as both past and present members of those boards, board administrators, board attorneys, and dental and dental hygiene educators

To serve as a resource by providing a national forum for exchange, development and dissemination of information to assist dental regulatory boards with their obligation to protect the public.
